Still have questions?

How much does it cost to connect with Nurx providers online?

Anyone who requests a birth control prescription through Nurx is charged approximately $25 for a medical consultation fee. This includes unlimited messaging with the Nurx medical team about your birth control for one year, so you can request prescription changes or ask questions anytime. At this time, Nurx does not submit claims to insurance for the medical consultation fee. Patients must complete an annual consultation, including any related fees, when their prescription is up for renewal. Other fees may apply, see here for details.

Yes, Nurx accepts most forms of private health insurance for medications. If you’d like to know if Nurx accepts your health insurance plan, please connect with the Nurx team at support@nurx.co.

Please note Nurx does NOT accept any government health insurance plans including Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare or any of their affiliated managed care plans and does not submit claims to insurance for the medical consultation fee

After your provider reviews your request and confirms if Slynd is right for you, one of Nurx’s pharmacies typically ships your prescription within 72 hours. Nurx uses USPS 1-3 day priority shipping to provide free delivery, so prescription deliveries will typically arrive in as little as 3-5 business days from receiving your completed request for birth control.

Yes, you have the option to send your prescription to a local pharmacy of your choosing.

For most prescriptions, Nurx offers automatic refills for one year from the time you begin using the service, if desired. After a year, you must complete a renewal medical consultation for which you will be charged at that time.
